In the Basque Country, two centres actively contribute to research into robotics :

Compositadour is a technical centre located at Technocité dedicated to research into composite materials.
Worldwide there are 6 Coriolis robots working on the placement of fibres. The latest research concerns the implementation of natural fibres – flax, hemp and bamboo – as alternatives to carbon fibre.

ESTIA Institute of Technology, located at Izarbel Science Park, includes a robotic platform.
